Answer yes if your organisation holds a current, valid Defence Cyber Certification (DCC), the UK Ministry of Defence's cyber security certification scheme for defence suppliers. Upload your DCC certificate as evidence and state the certification level achieved (Level 0, 1, 2 or 3) in the notes section.
The Defence Cyber Certification (DCC) is the UK Ministry of Defence's (MOD) cyber security certification scheme for suppliers working within the defence supply chain.
The scheme uses a four-level framework (Levels 0 to 3), with each level corresponding to the degree of cyber risk associated with a supplier's role in the MOD supply chain, and all levels start with Cyber Essentials certification, with Levels 2 and 3 requiring Cyber Essentials Plus. DCC builds on the long-standing requirements of Defence Standard 05-138 (DefStan 05-138), introducing a consistent, evidence-based way of verifying that those controls are actually in place and working, rather than relying on self-assessment alone. Holding a current DCC at the appropriate level gives assurance that your organisation meets the security requirements expected of defence suppliers at that tier.
Determine the DCC level appropriate to your organisation, based on the cyber risk associated with the work you undertake or intend to undertake within the MOD supply chain (this is typically assessed through the MOD delivery team's own risk assessment process, but can also be judged against the published level criteria if you're applying independently of a specific contract). Engage an approved Certification Body from IASME's network to carry out your assessment.
