The Network and Information Systems Directive (NIS-D) aims to establish a common level of security for network and information systems across the EU and the UK.
These systems play a vital role in the economy and wider society, and the NIS-D aims to address the threats posed to them from a range of areas including physical, environmental and most notably, cyber risks.
The regulation applies to designated Operators of Essential Services (OES) spanning Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) industries. You can read more about the regulation here.
